Course Details

Who is it suitable for?  The safe control of electricity is a fundamental requirement for anyone who is involved with working with electricity in any capacity. This 5-day Basic Electrical Workshop gives you an introduction to the fundamental principles of electrical systems. It is designed specifically for anyone with very little to no electrical knowledge.

The following topics are covered in this course:

• IEE Regulations
• Safe working practice
• Basic electrical terminology
• Basic AC supply characteristics
• OHM’s Law Theory
• Basic earthing
• Series circuits
• Parallel circuits
• Ring circuits
• Radial circuit

Course Duration: 5 days practical and theory training.

Assessment methods:  There are no formal assessments. A centre issued certificate can be produced to demonstrate completion of the course.

Entry requirements: There are no pre-requisites; this is an entry level course.
