    Who is it suitable for?  The course is aimed primarily at practicing plumbing and heating engineers who have an understanding of the fundamental requirements of hot and cold water systems and central heating systems.

    What’s involved? Understand the requirements of Section G3 of the Building Regulations relating to the design, installation, service and maintenance of hot water systems and how to comply with the regulations. Identify typical faults associated with the installation or maintenance of hot water systems. Understand the requirements of Part L1 of the building regulations. Understand the application of Part P of the building regulations in relation to the installation of hot water systems. Undertake a range of assessment tests to confirm competence in installation, service and maintenance of hot water systems. 

    How is the qualification assessed? This course consists of a home study pack containing 5 self-assessment modules. These modules must be completed and brought to the course.

    Entry requirements: There are no pre-requisites but we do recommend some prior plumbing knowledge and experience.
