    Course Details

    This Part L energy efficiency course is focused on providing candidates with knowledge around energy efficiency in the home relating to heating systems. The energy efficiency assessment is mainly focused on Part L building regulations and will enable you to provide advice on heating systems including boiler sizing and the use of the correct heating controls.

    Who is it suitable for?  Plumbers, gas engineers and renewable energy installers.

    What’s involved?  This is a home-study course. Upon enrolment, you will be issued a home-study pack. The pack will include the ‘Energy Efficiency Best Practice in Housing’ guide, you will need to familiarise yourself with this information prior to your assessment.

    How is the qualification assessed? 1 paper-based assessment.

    Entry requirements: Applicants should be experienced installers of gas, oil, or solid fuel domestic central heating systems.

    Course Duration: 1 hour assessment.
