What will you learn? This training and assessment is designed to provide experienced electricians with the necessary skills for the basic design, installation, commissioning and service of Solar PV. The course will cover the majority of small scale Photovoltaic systems currently installed within the British Isles. Course delivery will be 80% theory and 20% practical.

Pre-Requisites Candidates are required to hold an NVQ Level 3 Electro-technical (Building Services & Structures) Qualification or equivalent. It is also necessary to have achieved BS7671 2008 including 1st Amendment.
How is the qualification assessed? Each knowledge unit features an external on-screen exam, with a further internal Centre marked assignment for the unit covering the knowledge
to install, commission and handover solar photovoltaic systems. The performance units are assessed in the work environment.
Duration 3 days training followed by 1-2 days of practical assessments either at PGL Training or in the workplace.
